Background
Founded in 2012, Seacoast United Kings (aka Seacoast United Boston) is a Massachusetts Premier Soccer and Futsal Club that trains out of Framingham, MA.
They attract top players throughout the state; players represent over thirty different towns.
[Formerly known as Kings FC before they were rebranded Seacoast United Kings. Beginning spring of 2017, Seacoast United Kings was renamed Seacoast United Boston.]
Seacoast United Boston are the leaders in player development, with countless players selected to compete in US Soccer National Training Centers, the US Soccer Region I Pool, the Massachusetts Olympic Development Program (ODP), the US Youth Futsal Northeast Region Player Identification Program, the Super Y League National Pool, and the US Youth Futsal Youth National Teams.
Seacoast United Boston teams compete in the New England Premiership (NEP) and the USL’s Super Y League as well as the top tournaments throughout the United States. Our futsal teams compete in various leagues such as the MetroWest Futsal League, and Futsal MA. Our teams also compete in the US Youth Futsal Northeast Regional Championships. Seacoast United Boston has access to both the National Premier Leagues (NPL) and US Soccer Development Academy.
Their approach to playing soccer, and this is very important to know upfront, is unique in that very few clubs offer this in Mass (Abbey Villa is another such club). It is a style most commonly known as Total Football: is a tactical way of playing soccer in which any player can take the role of any other player on the field.
Seacoast United Kings teams play in the Northeast Soccer League (NSL)
Club Composition
All Seacoast United Kings coaches are minimum Massachusetts Youth Soccer E License certified while many any also hold NSCAA licenses such as the Regional Diploma, and the Goal Keeping Diploma. The club touts that they consistently attend seminars to expand our knowledge.
Futsal
Winter months at Seacoast United Kings are spent playing futsal with practices on weekday evenings.
Teams participate in the Suburban Athletic Premier Futsal League (8 Division Championships in two years) and the coaches also run the Suburban Futsal Academy, a weekly futsal clinic focused on individual player development.
Young Players
Youth Development Academy (YDA)
The YDA is setup for kids ages 5-9 years old and is based on building a strong foundation of the technical skills needed to succeed in soccer. Such skills include dribbling, one-on-one attacking, receiving, turning, all with both the left and right foot. Games are also used to help players develop game intelligence and quick decision making.
