Background
Weymouth United Football Club (FC) is the soccer club of Weymouth Soccer – based Weymouth Massachusetts; this is related to, but not the same as, their town program. This allows them to offer a higher level of commitment, training and play than the travel teams of the town allow.

Old boys network
This clubs main goal is to advance the agenda of the boys side of the program. Everything this club does is to benefit boys. If you are a Weymouth resident looking for a club for your daughter you should look elsewhere. They handed the reins of the program over to a man with connections to the Revolution, That’s the big selling point. He gets paid a lot of money to direct and coach. He has alienated a lot of good people. His philosophy for the younger players is to have them just have fun. His coaching structure is non-existent.
They have terrible fields. they use the local school gyms for their winter indoor training. Every once in a while they will rent one of the local indoor turf fields. I could go on and on about the program but you get the gist. Oh wait one more thing, this very nice guy has told more than one coach that my 7 year old is the most uncoachable player he has ever coached. 7….I’m glad, now she plays for another local club and is having the best time. I guess i should thank him. Anyway my rant is kind of just for anyone from Weymouth who feels the same way i do. Well gotta go, thanks for the time. PS. i’m not too bright my daughter still plays travel and town for Weymouth.
